Uruguay
Around 5 AM, I woke up.
When I got on the bus, the steward kept my passport. Sure, it will be fine at the end of the trip. Wished I (already) could understand better, what he said. Crossing the border to Uruguay during the night I had missed. It’s a pity, but on the other hand I was glad I didn’t have to go through all kinds of administrative procedures. Good service!
With the breakfast, I got my passport back, nicely stamped.
Another interesting fact: officially the bus had some stops in major towns along the route. Practically, people had requested all kind of drop-offs. We stopped quite frequently. Had I known, I could have prevented to have to travel back from Montevideo to Punta del Este. On the other hand, in this way I got more moments to practice Spanish.

During the bustrip to Punta del Este, I contacted Raquel. Seemed, the distance between our places was more then we could breach for our appointment. We kept contact the next day, but it didn’t work out. We will meet later, vind another way. They of interesting approaches and activities on the website from their foundation!
At the check in at the hotel, all explanation was in Spanish. Understood the most of it 🙂 Providing answers to questions is a different story… The rest of the day got filled with calles and a walk around the neighbourhood during sunset: the habour, the historic center, some shopping lanes, little markets. Streets here have and a name and a number. The sequence of the numbers is a bit scrambled (or I didn’t understand the pattern). Made it a puzzle to orientate.

For a bite, I choose a more quiet place. The food is different, the constums are different, the money (and also the prices) are different. You just have to adjust.
