Locked in the city
The excursion out off town, I wanted to do, was not available in the winter. The next best thing to do was to arrange the itineraries for the next weeks. A fine puzzle to make, with still missing some pieces.
After that, I looked for an inspiring writing place in the city. Had some ideas I wanted to put on paper… eum… screen. I choose a terras spot, outside the farmers market, with a jar of fresh lemonade. The market itself wasn;t that fancy, just a few market boothed filled. On the other hand, it was one of the few which actually was still in use for fresh produces, not like other pimped up.
With this market, whole the neighbourhood was included: fruits and veggies, cheese, meats, fish, holiday- and party stuff, high tech. Felt good to roam the suroundings. This was quite different from the rest van the city I have seen: a different vibe, much more interaction with people passing by. Felt more welcome in this neighnourhood than in the touristic city center.

The terras spot was amazing! Spoke with some people on the other tables, could watch live passing by, and just the right balance between sun and shadow on a winter afternoon, working out of office.
Realising once more: organised sightseeing (tourism) is quite different from traveling alone. When you have to unravel the most basic things on daily base you will be eye to eye with your assumptions, habits and values.
Couldn’t do where I came for to Cordoba (travel guide much too often don’t mention seasonal differences). Time to move on!
