Relaxed at the beach
After quite a trip we close our journey with some definitely! relaxing time. A homestay at the beach. Palms. Sand. Hammocks. Sun-chairs.
Not much to do than chill, re-think, re-enjoy.
The water is warm but too current to swim. Your legs got wiped as soon as you’re standing 2 foot in the sea. We made a beautiful walk along other homestays, restaurants (you have to learn to recognize them as such) and a lot of fisher boats. Even beach life in India is quite different van Europe. Nothing the same. Never rely on your (home) references! 😀
In the afternoon, we will take en tuk-tuk to the next village, tonight we have to pack. Tomorrow starts our way back home, first from Kochi to Delhi and Saturday from Delhi back to Europe. Thinking of going back soon. So much more to explore and learn!
Right now, I learned our flight tomorrow is rescheduled, more then a hour earlier. Our host told us that the taxi drivers are in strike. Might get interesting. Will see.
As alway in India; nothing works and all works out.
We not took a tuk-tuk to Marari Village, but to Alleppey, a 45 minute drive. Relaxed. Did some shopping and a last dinner at a nice restaurant. Went back to the homestay.
Now, we have a taxi for 2 am. Which means, we have no last night sleep, we have to wait for 12 hours at the airport in Kochi for our flight to Delhi. And than another day for our flight back to Europe. Might be, we need a vacation, when we are back home. ;(
Shall see.
