Reorganising – Back to Kampala
Friday – Our last day in Soroti, for this trip. We had to pack.
And we wanted to visit a Dutch lady, whom is running a temporary home for AIDS-kids, the littlest of them. What an inspiring conversation! She is living in Uganda for more than 15 years, taking timely care of babies born with HIV of from HIV-positive mothers, just to give the family the time to arrange everything necessary or also to get the kids stately with meds available. After that, the children go home – whatever the family decided will be home to them.
We met once again with one of our partners, just to arrange some left over business. Nice conversation!
After lunch, we took our last stroll over the market, went home, sorted our staff and had a good last evening in town.
Saturday – Basically, not much special to tell. It was a long drive, again. We stopped in Jinja for some lunch. We went to a handcraft market in Kampala. There, we bought some gadgets for the markets back home, where we try to campaign for Chica and the goals of the foundation.
In the Red Chili, we had dinner, a Nile 🙂 and a good last chat with our friend for this trip. We went early to bed, because our trip to the Murchison Falls started next morning at dawn.
