On the road

Right after breakfast, we left for Bialystok. The idea behind driving over land to Finnland was to see a bit more of all the countries, we cross. It’s not much to see from the motorway. It’s basically a dilemma: Of we choose to really see a bit of country … and would need a much longer vacation to make it worthwhile. Of we choose the highway, missing a lot of the land. We have two weeks, it will take 4 days at least to get us to Finnland. More delay … and almost nothing of the holiday will be left. Thus, straight through Poland, it is. Luckily (?), after Lodz, the highway is still ‘in progress’. The detours around the building places took us through woods, villages and farmland. Nice! Our tread to us in Bialystok was the Hilton, just everything we needed.
