Planning and preparation
Our day started with a meeting with our main contact. We had a list of what we wanted to do the days in Soroti and whom we wanted to visit and speak. Together, we made a plan for the 10 days. We also included some days off, seeing a bit more of the country and its traditions; having some spare time in case plans did not work out.
Our planning was:
- Friday: Lwala school
- Saturday: Twin, Richard
- Sunday: pork lunch and visiting John
- Monday: Unity School
- Tuesday: Sipi Falls
- Wednesday: Jehiel School
- Thursday: Kumi
- Friday: reorganising
- Saturday: back to Kampala
After establishing our planning, we drove up to the new university, to see what other great possibilities the town has to offer now! One of the ladies took the time to show us around. Started to wonder, whom was responsible for this great development?
Was the question during our lunch, before we went for some forgotten groceries. I bought a local SIM, should save a lot of money and give access to good internet. Seemed, the registration went wrong L You’ve should count those things in 🙂
In the African pace, not much of a day was left.
