Plans and reality
There are always things back home, that need attention. Thus, after breakfeast, I installed myself next to the pool and spent several hours on digital stuff.
I only had one day in Adelaide. And, of course, I wanted to see a bit more than just the hotel, even it was very lovely.
I decided on a rivercruise for the afternoon. Possibly seeing some dolphins and seals. First, I had to figure out the logistics to reach the docks at the riverbanks. A short walk to the train station, the metro to a suburb, another 45 minutes walkes through dunes and other suburbs. At the docks an unpleasant surprise: they were closed for the day. I had checked the website – operating dayly with three departures, not fully booked (yet). Well. The upside was, on my way down here, I had seen some marvelous Aboriginal art, red about dune preservation and had decided about activities for the next morning. On my way to another metrostation to find my way back into the city, I came along a railway museum and some other neat buildings. Differently, but well-spent afternoon, anyway.
In the evening, I prepared for the bustrip to Alice Springs.
