Pork lunch
It’s a ritual. It’s a tradition. Pork lunch for special occasions.
The pork is marinated, steamed and grilled. Really, really good! Served with potato’s (nicely spiced), tomato’s and onions.
Wash your hands! You will need them!
The bar was just around the corner, you might say. In a street with quite some bars.
The typical bar Sunday for the locals is a combination of pool, chats, music and beer. Local beer. Presented in a jar, with drinking straws of more than a meter long, with some kind of filter at the end, which keeps the gist in the jar. Locals share a jar, when it is almost empty, some (warm) water is added, over and over again. As long as the guests keep drinking. Starting with a strong local beer, it gets thinner with each round. Local habits. Just different.
Or not that much: Chinees do the same with their tea. Different beverage, same method.
